1. Amebic dysentery

Most of the time, oral administration and enema are used together, with 7 to 10 days as a course of treatment. Adults should take 10 to 20 seeds of Brucea javanica seeds each time (at least 4 seeds). Children can take 1-2 capsules per year, put them into empty capsules and swallow them; for enema, take 15-20 seeds of Brucea javanica, crush them and soak them in 200ml of 1% sodium bicarbonate solution for 2 hours, then do retention enema, once a day or every other day, at the same time as oral administration, or use it alone after 4 days of oral administration. According to observations of 50 and 65 cases, the recent cure rates were 72% and 94% respectively. Most cured patients’ symptoms disappear within 2 to 7 days, and stool microscopic examinations usually turn negative within 3 to 5 days. Adverse reactions include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, abdominal pain, diarrhea, etc., among which diarrhea is more common, but it does not affect treatment.

2. Malaria

For adults, take 10 seeds of Brucea javanica seeds each time, put them into empty capsules and swallow them, 3 to 4 times a day. On the 4th to 5th day, the dose is halved. The whole treatment course is 5 days. For children under 10 years old, take 6 capsules each time, and for children under 14 years old, take 8 capsules each time. The main adverse reactions are upper abdominal discomfort, fullness, loss of appetite, increased frequency of bowel movements, and vomiting in a few patients. First, use a knife to gently scrape the epidermis of the wart (do not scrape too deep or damage the surrounding skin), take the javanica, split it, and rub it directly on the affected area, or dip a small amount of javanica oil and drop it on the wart. Do this once every 4 to 7 days, and 10 times constitute a course of treatment. Do not wash with water or towel for 5 to 6 hours after applying the oil to avoid wiping off the oil or affecting the surrounding skin; when applying the medicine on the face, prevent it from entering the eyes; if the skin lesions are covered with scabs when applying the medicine again, gently scrape off the scabs before applying the oil. A total of 47 patients were treated, 39 were cured (most patients were cured within 5 times), and 8 were ineffective.
