The silique is ovoid or nearly spherical, 1.5-2.5 cm long, with soft thorns or smooth exocarp; the seeds are elliptical, slightly flattened, 8-18 mm long, smooth, with light brown or grayish white patterns; the seed head is large. The flowering period is almost the entire year or from June to September (planting). It likes high temperature, is not frost-resistant, has strong adaptability to strong acids and alkalis, and is widely planted in my country. It can be planted in plain areas. At an altitude of 20-500 meters (2,300 meters above sea level in Yunnan), sparse forests near villages or alluvial fans on both sides of rivers and straits often appear as natural perennial shrubs.
