What effect does chestnut shell have on the human body?

I believe that almost everyone has eaten chestnuts. They are praised by people for their taste and nutritional value. In fact, not only the chestnut fruit part is nutritious, but the chestnut shell also has certain medicinal effects and is often used to treat diseases in clinical practice. However, many people may not know about this. Now I will tell you about the value of surgery.

The chestnut shell is spherical and slightly flat. The diameter of the thorns is generally 4 to 8 cm, 3 to 4 cm high, and often cracked longitudinally into 2 to 4 petals; the outer surface is yellow-brown or brown in color, densely covered with branched sharp thorns, 1 to 1.5 cm long, densely covered with grayish white to grayish green soft hairs; the inner surface is densely covered with tightly attached yellow-brown silky long hairs, and the bottom has scars after 2 to 3 nuts have fallen off. It is hard, granular in cross section, and dark brown in color. Slight smell, slightly astringent taste. The best ones are large, hard and yellow-brown in color.

Traditional Chinese medicine calls the thorny hard shell of chestnut "fengli shell", which has the effects of astringing, removing phlegm, and dispersing nodules. It is often used in clinical medicine to treat chronic bronchitis, cough with sputum, whooping cough, lymphadenitis, mumps and other diseases. Therefore, Chinese medicine often uses Fengli Ke with Xia Ku Cao, or uses Platycodon grandiflorum, Burdock seed and other heat-clearing and phlegm-resolving drugs together to treat chronic cervical lymphadenitis and lymphadenitis. Burn three or four chestnut shells into charcoal, grind them into medicinal powder, add appropriate amount of pure honey, mix well with hot water and take it twice a day to treat hemorrhoid bleeding. Applying the powder of Fengli Ke medicine to the injured area can also stop bleeding. Taking chestnut bark decoction internally can cure dysentery. External washing can remove erysipelas. Taking chestnut leaves as a decoction can cure asthma, and applying them externally after crushing them can also reduce blisters.

After reading this article, you will find that chestnut shells are really valuable. If you have symptoms of the diseases mentioned in the article, you can consult a doctor whether chestnut shells can be used for treatment. After all, the use of these Chinese medicinal materials will not produce toxic side effects and will not have adverse effects on the patient's body.
