【Original form】 The body length can reach 20 cm. The beak is dark green, and the tip of the lower beak is almost yellow. Iris yellow. The upper body, including the wings and tail, is mostly gray-brown, covered with dark-brown fine lines like insect poison; the head and back are also dotted with white and brown spots; the ear feathers are elongated and protruding, with brown bases and feather tips the same color as the top of the head; the face is light gray-brown, densely dotted with fine black lines; the face is surrounded by an inconspicuous light brown collar; the base of the feathers in front of the eyes is brown-white and the tips are black.
