In addition, some drug contraindications should be paid attention to when using it.

1. Prunella vulgaris has the effect of clearing the liver and dispersing nodules

It is mainly used to treat scrofula, goiter, mastitis, breast cancer, night pain in the eyeballs, photophobia and tearing, dizziness, facial paralysis, muscle and bone pain, pulmonary tuberculosis, acute icteric infectious hepatitis and metrorrhagia, etc.

2. Diuretic

Prunella vulgaris has a significant diuretic effect, and its active ingredients are inorganic salts and ursolic acid.

In vitro experiments using Prunella vulgaris showed inhibitory effects on Shigella dysenteriae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, and hemolytic Streptococcus.

4. Blood pressure reduction

5. Anti-tumor

Preliminary experiments have confirmed that Prunella Vulgaris can inhibit the growth of certain transplanted tumors in animals (such as cervical cancer in mice).

6. Others

White-haired selfhenac contains flavonoids, which can stimulate the respiratory mucosa to increase secretion, and can also reduce the permeability of capillaries, thereby reducing the permeability of inflamed tracheal mucosal blood vessels, thereby reducing exudation and playing an anti-inflammatory role. White-haired selfheal can also act on the tracheal smooth muscles, dilate the trachea, and have the effect of relieving asthma. Moreover, the acidic ethanol extract and flavonoids in Prunella vulgaris can increase the total number of white blood cells in peripheral blood and have a strong anti-infection effect in the body. In addition, Prunella Vulgaris has certain antihypertensive and central nervous system sedative effects.
