Main effects of Cordyceps

Main effects of Cordyceps

We all know that Cordyceps sinensis is a very expensive and nutritious medicinal material. The reason why Cordyceps sinensis is called this name is because it is in the shape of a worm in winter, and becomes a herb in summer. The reason why Cordyceps sinensis is expensive is because it requires a special growing environment. Here I will introduce to you the main effects of Cordyceps sinensis.

Ten major benefits

Cordyceps sinensis is a traditional precious medicinal tonic in my country. It is mild in nature and sweet in taste. It has the functions of nourishing the lungs and kidneys, relieving cough, replenishing deficiency, and nourishing essence and qi.

According to clinical research reports, Cordyceps sinensis has ten major functions: ① antibacterial, ② immune regulation, ③ anti-cancer, ④ anti-inflammatory, ⑤ kidney nourishing, ⑥ increasing adrenal cortisol content, ⑦ anti-arrhythmia, ⑧ anti-fatigue, ⑨ expectorant and antiasthmatic, ⑩ sedative and hypnotic.

Adapt to the crowd

It is suitable for symptoms such as deficiency of both lung and kidney, lack of essence and energy, cough and shortness of breath, spontaneous sweating and night sweats, soreness of waist and knees, impotence and spermatorrhea, cough due to fatigue and blood in sputum, etc. Because it is mild in nature and can balance yin and yang, it is also an excellent tonic for the elderly and weak, the weak after illness, and the weak after childbirth.

How to choose

When buying, you should first pay attention to the appearance and color. The body of Cordyceps sinensis resembles a silkworm, about 3 to 5 cm long, with a dark yellow to yellow-brown surface, 20 to 30 ring marks, and 8 pairs of legs (the middle 4 pairs are more obvious). The stipe is slender and cylindrical, about 4 to 7 cm long and 0.3 cm in diameter. The surface is dark reddish brown to brownish brown with fine longitudinal wrinkles and slightly swollen at the top. The cross section is white, has a slightly fishy smell and a slightly bitter taste. When choosing, it is best to choose an insect that has a complete, plump and fat body, bright yellow outside, white inside, and a short stroma. Please note that some empty shell Cordyceps sinensis are sold after the active ingredients are extracted. This type of Cordyceps sinensis has less content and does not look full. You can also break it open and take a closer look. If there are foreign objects such as wire inserted in the Cordyceps, it is a counterfeit product. It is recommended to buy products from regular stores or reputable manufacturers.

How to eat

Taking Cordyceps sinensis to replenish deficiency should vary according to the person and the disease, and it can be taken alone or in combination with other medicines. It can be boiled in water, stewed into soup, made into medicinal food, or soaked in wine, tea, etc. For example, if you have symptoms such as low back pain, weakness, nocturnal emission, spermatorrhea, impotence, premature ejaculation, tinnitus, forgetfulness and confusion, you can use 2 grams of Cordyceps sinensis each time, grind it into powder, take it on an empty stomach, once in the morning and once in the evening; you can also use 5 grams of Cordyceps sinensis, add Eucommia ulmoides, Chuanduan, etc., decoct it into a soup and drink it. Is physically weak after the illness, or usually physically weak and prone to cold, chills and spontaneous perspiration, Cordyceps can be used as stew with chicken, duck, beef, pork, mutton, etc. If you use 5 to 10 pieces of Cordyceps sinensis and an old male duck, remove the tripe, add a little rice wine, cook it until it is soft and eat it, it can enhance your physical fitness. Or use 4 pieces of Cordyceps sinensis every day, decoct the soup and take on an empty stomach.

Other Products

Due to the high price of natural Cordyceps sinensis and the shortage of natural resources, people are prompted to study and explore methods of artificial cultivation. The method of in vitro culture using isolated strains from Cordyceps sinensis has gradually matured. There are many types of isolates obtained from Cordyceps sinensis. Some medicines or health products and their strains on the market are genetically not related to Cordyceps sinensis. Many types of products produced by fermentation are not derived from real Cordyceps sinensis strains, so you must be careful in choosing.

There are many ways to nourish the body in winter, and the key is to choose the method that suits you. Shuguang Hospital has a winter tonic clinic. You can go to the hospital and consult with experienced Chinese medicine doctors to get the right tonic.
