When it comes to Guizhi Fuzi Decoction, many people don’t know what it is because they rarely come across it in life. But you can tell from the name that this is the name of a certain Chinese medicine decoction. The main ingredients of Guizhi Fuzi Decoction are three Chinese medicinal herbs: hay, cinnamon twig and aconite. After these Chinese herbs are decocted together, they can be used to treat injuries, rheumatism, redness, swelling and various pains in the body. Nowadays, many people believe in the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine and prefer to use it to treat diseases, but they don’t know much about the decoction of traditional Chinese medicine. Now let’s talk about the decoction method of Guizhi Fuzi Decoction. 1. How to decoct Fuzi Decoction 1. Guizhi Jia Fuzi Decoction comes from "Treatise on Febrile Diseases" by the medical saint Zhang Zhongjing. It is composed of 12 grams of cinnamon twig (peeled), 15 grams of aconite (fried, peeled), 9 grams of ginger (cut), 12 dates (split), and 6 grams of licorice (roasted). 2. In the formula, cinnamon twig dispels wind and cold, dredges meridians, while aconite dispels wind and dampness, warms the meridians and dispels cold. The combination of the two medicines can dispel wind, cold and dampness and stop pain. Ginger and jujube harmonize the Ying and Wei, while licorice nourishes the spleen and harmonizes the middle. The five flavors work together to dispel wind and dampness, and relieve cold. 3. Aconite is a very hot medicine and an important medicine for dispelling cold. Cinnamon twig has the effect of warming the meridians and dredges the blood vessels. Its power lies in warming the limbs and nourishing the peripheral nerves. The decoction method of this medicine is to use 1800 ml of water, boil 600 ml, decoct the aconite first, and then decoct the medicine together over low heat for about 10 minutes. Remove the residue and take it warm in three doses. 2. Functions and indications of Guizhi Fuzi Decoction 1. Guizhi Fuzi Decoction dispels wind and dampness, warms the meridians and dispels cold. 2. It is mainly used to treat typhoid fever for eight or nine days, with rheumatism and body pain, inability to turn over, no vomiting or thirst, and a floating, weak and astringent pulse. 3. It is currently used for rheumatoid arthritis, sciatica and other diseases caused by wind, cold and dampness. 3. Guizhi Fuzi Decoction for cough 1. Cough is not only an important symptom of respiratory diseases, but also a disease in traditional Chinese medicine. There are many articles on the diagnosis and treatment of cough in Zhang Zhongjing's "Treatise on Febrile Diseases" and "Golden Chamber". If the diagnosis is accurate and the classical prescriptions are used, not only will the effect be quick, but the therapeutic effect will be very good. 2. The clinical case record indicated that a person had a cold and developed frequent coughing, sputum, chest tightness and wheezing. He went to a hospital and was diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, lung infection, and heart failure. He was hospitalized for 12 days and received intravenous infusion and methylprednisolone injection. Soon after being discharged from the hospital, he developed coughing, sputum, and wheezing again, and the symptoms worsened with each passing day. 3. When the weather suddenly turns cold, symptoms worsen. Severe coughing is accompanied by sweating all over the body, which is very painful. Seek medical treatment. The patient was diagnosed with mental depression, occasional severe coughing, coughing up white sticky phlegm accompanied by wheezing, paroxysmal chest tightness and palpitations, fatigue, fear of wind and cold, sweating when coughing, dry mouth but no desire to drink, no bitter taste in the mouth, mild pitting edema of both ankles, poor appetite, poor sleep, normal bowel movements, dark tongue, enlarged tongue, white greasy tongue coating, and deep, thready and weak pulse. |
