How to eat: Take 30g of reed root, 6g of Selaginella, 6g of Oroxylum bungeana, and 7.5g of cowhide jelly, and decoct them in water.

"Quanzhou Materia Medica" records that reed root can also treat sore throat. Just mash the fresh reed root to extract the juice, then add honey and drink it.

Since reed root is a cold medicine, it is effective in removing heat and relieving cough. However, people with spleen and stomach deficiency are prohibited from taking reed root, and people without spleen and stomach deficiency should not take it with croton.
