[Source] Cypripedium japonicum Thunb., a plant of the genus Cypripedium in the Orchidaceae family, is used as medicine using its rhizome and the whole plant with roots . It can be harvested in all seasons, washed and dried or soaked in rice water, dried and fried with wine before use.

【Nature and flavor】 Spicy, neutral. poisonous.

【Functions and indications】Promote blood circulation and regulate menstruation, dispel wind and relieve pain, and stop malaria. Used for irregular menstruation, pain from falls, vivax malaria; used externally to treat skin itching.

[Usage and Dosage] Take 5 fen each time, grind into powder and swallow with cold boiled water, or soak in wine. Apply externally in appropriate amount and wash with decoction of the whole herb.
