Placing a cactus in front of your computer can "absorb" radiation? Don't be too far-fetched!

What is the "radiation" around us? !

Computers, hair dryers, televisions and other electrical appliances we use in our daily lives often emit various rays and electromagnetic waves, including low-frequency electromagnetic radiation, radio frequency radiation, infrared, ultraviolet rays, low-energy X-rays, light radiation, magnetic field radiation, thermal radiation, etc.

However, in fact, all radiation in nature propagates in a straight line. The small cactus does not have the ability to distort space, so it naturally has no effect on the radiation in the area around it, let alone reduce radiation.

What does cactus absorb?

Cactus cannot protect against computer radiation. Electromagnetic radiation is not equal to optical radiation. As a radiation-proof plant, cactus absorbs ultraviolet radiation from sunlight, not electromagnetic radiation.

Although cacti can absorb ultraviolet rays in sunlight, they cannot resist electromagnetic radiation from computers. Plant experts have shown that under high sunlight intensity in the desert, sunlight produces a kind of "radiant energy" that will be absorbed by cacti, thus reducing harm to the human body. However, there is no research evidence to show that cacti can absorb electromagnetic radiation. The idea that "cactus can absorb computer radiation" is just a concept created by some businessmen to promote sales.

What it really does

Cactus is helpful in purifying the air. In an environment with relatively humid air, cactus absorbs carbon dioxide and produces oxygen. If you place a pot of cactus in the car, it will help alleviate the blocked air in the car.

Cactus has the function of absorbing dust, which is similar to the adsorption effect of activated carbon. Cactus can absorb dust in the air to purify the air.

Effective ways to reduce radiation

In nature, radiation, including ultraviolet rays from the sun or from mobile phones, travels in straight lines, or continues to travel in straight lines after being reflected by matter. There is currently no substance that can make radiation bend.

In daily life, we should try to avoid prolonged contact with radiation sources such as computers, microwave ovens, humidifiers, electric blankets, etc., and try to keep a distance from them or reduce the use time, which can more effectively reduce the harm of radiation to the body. Usually, you can eat more foods rich in dietary fiber and antioxidants to help eliminate radiation, such as grains, beans, vegetables, fruits, milk, etc., and insist on exercising to enhance your physical fitness.
