Privately catching one is illegal, catching 20 or more is a crime, and catching 50 or more is a major criminal case.

▶Nationally protected plants such as golden dog fern and cymbidium:

Those who illegally cut down trees, destroy them, or illegally purchase, transport, process or sell them shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years, criminal detention or public surveillance, and shall also be fined. If the circumstances are serious, they shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than three years but not more than seven years, and shall also be fined.
