[Original form] Carex leucoderma, perennial herb. The rhizome is slender and creeping. The culm is 5-40cm tall, with dark brown fibrous remnant leaf sheaths at the base. The leaves are shorter than the culm, 1-3 mm wide, and flat. Bracts are scale-like, spike inflorescence is ovate or ovate-elliptic, composed of 5-8 spikelets densely packed at the end of the culm; spikelets are ovate, 5-8mm long, a few at the top are male flowers, and the rest are female flowers; female flower scales are ovate or ovate-elliptic, 3-4mm long, light rusty, with broad white membranous edges, sharp tips, and 1-3 veins.
