"Let's go! Pick some mushrooms!" "Picking mushrooms" means picking mushrooms in Yunnan. It’s the season for eating mushrooms again. This year’s wild mushrooms seem to be on the market earlier than in previous years. As soon as April began, the well-known red onions have quietly entered the wild mushroom market, eager to satisfy the taste buds of mushroom eaters in Yunnan! If you eat mushrooms too early, poisoning may follow soon after. In cases of poisoning caused by eating poisonous mushrooms, the most typical killer is the Amanita species, which includes both the famous edible mushrooms like "angels" and the famous highly poisonous mushrooms like "demons". In foreign countries, 90% of deaths caused by poisonous mushrooms are caused by highly poisonous Amanita, and the proportion in China is 70.5%. According to statistics, there are 12 highly poisonous Amanita species in my country, distributed across the country, from temperate to tropical zones; there are 6 species in Yunnan, which are distributed everywhere and grow in pine and oak forests. In order to help people recognize fungi more clearly and eat them with peace of mind, the Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Yunnan Key Laboratory of Fungal Diversity and Green Development jointly updated the map of common poisonous fungi in Yunnan. This updated set includes two pictures, totaling 24 common poisonous fungi (poisonous mushrooms) in Yunnan. Don’t pick! Don’t buy! Don’t process! Don’t eat!
