In May this year, China Railway Express, a subsidiary of China Railway Corporation, announced the launch of the "High-speed Rail Express" product, which is mainly aimed at customers with urgent transportation needs, such as business letters, tender contracts, fresh gifts, valuables, urgently needed medicines and personal items. According to the official introduction of Railway 12306, since the service was officially launched, it has expanded its network three times, and the number of service cities has expanded from 40 to 141.

It currently covers all provincial capitals, municipalities and major cities across the country (except the Tibet Autonomous Region, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan), effectively meeting the needs of urgent delivery, and the average daily order volume has rapidly climbed to over 100 orders.

As of September 7, a total of more than 7,000 orders have been processed.

"High-speed Rail Express Delivery" adopts the method of immediate collection, immediate transportation, and immediate delivery. It uses high-speed rail passenger EMU trains as the main trunk transportation capacity between major domestic cities, and efficiently connects the delivery riders in the same city at both ends, realizing "staying at home, placing orders online, and door-to-door same-day delivery."

After the user places an order through the "China Railway Express" WeChat official account, the rider in the same city will pick up the goods at the door as soon as possible and deliver the goods directly to the high-speed rail station. The high-speed rail train with the fastest loading time will arrive at the city. After the rider in the same city completes the collection at the high-speed rail station, he will make a special trip for the "last mile" delivery to deliver the goods safely and on time.

According to the official introduction, currently "High-speed Rail Express Delivery" can be ordered by scanning the QR code or searching for the "China Railway Express" WeChat public account.

The average delivery time within a high-speed rail city cluster is 4 hours, with same-day delivery; the average delivery time across city clusters is 8 hours, with same-day delivery.

In terms of charges, the "High-speed Rail Express" service will adopt a one-price model with separate charges, as follows:

Within 600 kilometers: 0-5 kg ​​150 yuan, 5-20 kg 200 yuan.

Within 601~1000 kilometers: 0~5 kg 230 yuan, 5~20 kg 290 yuan.

More than 1,000 kilometers: 0-5 kg ​​280 yuan; 5-20 kg 340 yuan.

However, this price is not the total price, but the price between high-speed rail stations, which does not include pick-up and delivery fees, so the actual cost will be higher.
