There are many ways to use Chinese medicine. In addition to taking it directly, some of it needs to be decocted. The specific method of use needs to be determined according to the condition of the disease. Homemade ointment made from powdered Chinese medicine also has a good therapeutic effect on many diseases. However, there are many details that need to be paid attention to during the production process to ensure that the medicine can achieve the best effect. Let's take a look at the specific method of powdering Chinese medicine to make homemade ointment. How to make ointment soak First check all the prepared medicinal materials, and pick out the glue-like medicines and put them separately. Then put all other medicines into a clean casserole of equivalent capacity, add appropriate amount of water to soak the medicine, allow it to fully absorb and swell, then add more water to about 10cm above the surface of the medicine, and soak for 24 hours. decoction Boil the soaked medicinal materials on fire. First boil it over high heat, then cook over low heat for about 1 hour, then turn to low heat and boil for about 3 hours. At this time, the juice gradually becomes thicker and you can use gauze to filter out the first juice. Add clean water to soak the original residue and then boil it over high heat. The decocting method is the same as before. This is the second decoction. By the third decoction, the smell has become faint. After filtering out the juice, discard the residue (if the juice is still thick, you can decoct it once more). Mix the decoctions obtained from the first three decoctions together, let it stand, then precipitate and filter. The less residue the better. concentrate Pour the filtered medicinal juice into the pot to concentrate it. You can boil it with high heat first to accelerate the evaporation of water, and skim off the foam at any time to let the medicinal juice slowly become thick, and then use low heat to further concentrate it. At this time, you should stir it constantly, because the medicinal juice is very easy to stick to the bottom and burn when it becomes thick. Stir until the medicinal juice drops on paper without spreading, then you can stop boiling. This is the clear paste made after concentration. Collection cream Pour the melted gelatin and sugar (rock sugar and honey are preferred) into the clear paste, and simmer slowly over low heat, stirring constantly, until it can be pulled into flags or drip into beads (drop the paste into clear water to condense into beads without dispersing). Storage After the collected paste has cooled, put it into a clean porcelain container. Do not cover it yet. Cover the mouth of the container with clean gauze and leave it overnight. After it has completely cooled, cover it and put it in a cool place. How to use the ointment Storage method The ointment needs to be taken for a long time, so it needs to be placed in the refrigerator to prevent it from getting moldy; a special spoon should be provided: do not rinse it with water before scooping it to prevent it from getting moldy in the ointment. Directions The ointment is usually taken from one week before the winter solstice to before the beginning of spring. Dissolve it with a small amount of boiling water and take it on an empty stomach in the morning. After one week, change to taking it twice a day, in the morning and at night, on an empty stomach 1 hour before going to bed. Depending on the disease, it can also be taken with warm rice wine. Adults take 1 tablespoon each time, about 30g, and teenagers take half the amount. Children and infants are prohibited from taking it. Contraindications Stop taking the medicine during cold, fever, or food poisoning. It can be postponed during the active period of acute or chronic disease. "In an emergency, treat the symptoms; in a non-emergency, treat the root cause." People who have recently fallen ill must first expel the evil spirits, and then use ointments to slowly treat the root cause. Otherwise, it will be like keeping the enemy inside, which is not conducive to the treatment of the disease. |
