[Original form] Perennial herb. The entire plant is glabrous. The stem is about 25 cm tall and usually unbranched. Leaves are basal or grow near the base of the stem, with long petioles; leaf blades are cordate pentagonal, up to 5 cm long and 9.8 cm wide, with 3 deep lobes near the base, the deep lobes overlap each other, the central deep lobe is rhombic, 3-lobed, with sharp teeth on the edges, and the lateral deep lobes are obliquely fan-shaped, with 2 unequal deep lobes slightly protruding from the middle. Two flowers form a monochasium at the top of the stem; 5 sepals, yellow; obovate or broadly obovate, about 2cm long, 1.5-2.2cm wide; many petals, linear, about 7mm long; many stamens, 6-9mm long, anthers narrowly oblong, about 2.2mm long; 7-25 carpels. The aggregate fruit is nearly spherical, about 1 cm in diameter, lettuce-like, about 9-11 mm long, with a beak of about 1 mm. The seeds are narrowly ovoid, about 1.5 mm long, smooth, with four indistinct longitudinal ridges. The flowering period is from June to September, and the fruiting period is from September to November.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Grown on mountain grass slopes or streamside grasslands at an altitude of 2700-3600m, occasionally growing under forests.
