[Source] It is the outer peel of litchi , a plant of the Sapindaceae family.

【Chemical composition】 Contains polyphenol oxidase.

【Functions and indications】 Treat dysentery, metrorrhagia and eczema.

[Usage and Dosage] For oral administration: decoct in water, 1.5-3 qian; or make into powder. For external use: decoct in water and wash.

[Additional prescription] ① For treating dysentery: acorn shell, licorice, litchi shell and pomegranate peel. Divide the upper part into equal parts and file finely.
