[Source] This product is the dried mature seeds of Impatiens balsamina L., a plant of the Impatiensaceae family. The fruits are harvested when they are about to mature in summer and autumn, dried in the sun, and the peel and impurities are removed.

[Properties] This product is oval, oblate or ovate in shape, 2-3mm long and 1.5-2.5mm wide. The surface is brown or grayish brown, rough, with sparse white or light yellow-brown spots, and the hilum is located at the narrow end and slightly protruding. The texture is solid, the seed coat is thin, the cotyledons are grayish white, translucent and oily. Odorless, light taste, slightly bitter.
