【Original morphology】 Plant height 60-100cm. Rhizome short, erect or ascending. Densely covered with brown, lanceolate small scales. The petiole is 30-40cm long, straw-colored, densely covered with large, broadly ovate or narrowly lanceolate scales with lashes on the margins; the leaf blade is leathery, oblong-lanceolate, 40-60cm long, 10-17cm wide, acuminate and pinnate, base not narrowed, smooth above, sparsely covered with reddish-brown scales below, rachis and underside of leaf axis densely covered with brown-brown, usually twisted, linear-lanceolate long scales, bipinnate; pinnae 25-35 pairs, obliquely spreading, alternate, middle pinnae 8-10cm long, 2-2.5cm wide, acuminate, with short petioles, once pinnate; pinnules 10-15 pairs, oblong-sickly, acuminate, asymmetrical at base, one pinnula on the upper side of the pinnae base is longer, up to 2cm long, erect, nearly arc-shaped on the upper side, with 2-3 semi-cleft crenates, lower side straight, entire, leaf veins pinnate, not very obvious. The sori are small, round, dorsally borne in the upper part, with 5-7 pinnae per plant, confluent when mature; the sori cover is large, dark brown, close to each other, and entire.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Growing under mixed woods or on rocks in valleys at an altitude of 1400-2300m.
