【Alias】 Qimi (Tibetan name)

[Source] It is the whole herb of the Asteraceae plant . Harvest from July to August.

[Original form] Annual herb, 1.5 to 60 cm tall. The upper part is branched and covered with spreading hairs. The leaves are narrow or spoon-shaped, the lower leaves are often crenate, the upper leaves are often entire, and the apex is obtuse or rounded. The head inflorescence is solitary at the end of the branch; the involucral bracts are 2 to 3 layers, with obtuse tips; there is one layer of ligulate flowers, the ligules are light purple or blue, the tubular flowers are yellow, and one of the five lobes is often longer. The pappus is slightly reddish brown.

【Habitat distribution】 River beaches, hillsides, and forest edges. Distributed in Tibet, Yunnan, Sichuan, Qinghai and Gansu.

【Nature and flavor】 Bitter, cold.

【Functions and indications】Detoxification, anti-inflammatory and cough relief. Treat colds, coughs, sore throats, and snake bites.

[Usage and Dosage] For oral use: decoct in water, 3 to 4 qian. For external use: mash and apply.
