[Original form] Semi-shrub. The base of the stem is often gathered into blocks, 0.3-1.1m high, densely covered with long soft or rough hairs in golden yellow, brown or bright purple. Leaves shortly petiolate to nearly sessile; leaf blades ovate or oblong-ovate, 3-7.5cm long, pubescent above, with the same hairs as the stem on the veins and petioles below, and the rest grayish white hairs.
