【Original form】Large tree, 30-40m high. The bark is grayish white and smooth. The branches are upright and the crown is narrow and tower-shaped; the twigs are glabrous and rounded. The leaves are alternate, small, broadly ovate or rhombus, with a rounded or broadly cuneate base, acute apex, bluntly serrated margins, dark green on the surface, light green on the back, and glabrous; the length and width of the leaves on the sprouting branches are almost equal. Inflorescence catkins, sometimes with bisexual flowers. The capsule is 2-valved, with a pointed tip and a slender stalk. The flowering period is June, and the fruiting period is June-July.
