Together, they help kelp and seaweed to eliminate phlegm and disperse goiters; Dioscorea bulbifera cools blood and reduces fire, disperses blood stasis and detoxifies; Bupleurum chinense clears liver heat; Taraxacum mongolicum, Gastrodia elatior, Plantago asiatica, and Chrysanthemum officinale all have the functions of clearing heat and detoxifying, eliminating blood stasis and dispersing swelling; Licorice harmonizes all the medicines. [Indications] Goiter (hyperthyroidism), symptoms include swelling on the front side or both sides of the neck, frequent feelings of panic, irritability, easy excitement, excessive sweating and thirst, increased appetite, and even swelling of the eyeballs with a noticeably protruding appearance. [Note] It is effective after repeated use and generally the patient will be cured after taking about 30 doses. Previous generations said that seaweed and kelp are the opposite of licorice, but when used in clinical practice, they not only have no adverse reactions but can also improve the efficacy.
