[Source] Shuyangquan was first recorded in "Ben Jing". "Bielu" records: "One name is Yangquan, another name is Yangyi, it grows in the valleys of Shu County." "Xinxiu Bencao" says: "This grass...leaves are like chrysanthemums, flowers are purple, seeds are like wolfberries, roots are like Polygala, without core but with grains." The entry for Qingqi in "Jiuhuang Bencao" says: "Qingqi, named Shuyangquan in "Bencao"." The description of morphology is mostly the same as "Xinxiu Bencao", and it adds: "The seedlings are more than two feet tall, the leaves are like chrysanthemum leaves but slightly longer, the seeds are green when grown and red when ripe." It is basically consistent with the morphology of this species. The picture of Shuyangquan in Illustrated Catalogue of Plant Names and Realities is also similar to this species.

Through the introduction of the above content, we can understand that Shuyangquan plays a very important role in treating some diseases. The consumption of the traditional Chinese medicine Shuyangquan should also be determined according to one's physical condition. Remember not to take the medicine blindly.
