[Original form] Corydalis giant is a perennial medium-sized herb, 60-120cm tall, glabrous. The root head is thick and clumpy. The stem is erect, hollow and multi-branched at the top. The basal leaves have long petioles, triangular leaf outline, three-partite, the lobes have short petioles, and then deeply pinnate, the final lobe is elliptical to oblong, 2-7cm long, light green underneath; there are no or only 1 stem leaves, which turn black after drying. The racemes are axillary, 2-3 branched, forming a cone, 10-20cm long, with dense flowers; bracts are linear; sepals are large, broadly ovate, and fall off early; corolla is reddish purple, 15-25mm long, with spur length accounting for 2/3-4/5 of the total length of the outer petal, straight, ovary linear, stigma halberd-shaped. Capsule elliptical, 1-1.4cm long, style persistent. The flowering period is June-July, and the fruiting period is August-September.
