As people's research on traditional Chinese medicine deepens, they gradually understand the detailed ingredients in various traditional Chinese medicines and the impact of these ingredients on everyone's health. Below I would like to recommend a traditional Chinese medicine, Liangshan Cordyceps, to you and describe the effects of Liangshan Cordyceps in detail. I hope it will be helpful to your study and research. 【English name】liangshan tong-chong-ha-cho [Source] Medicinal material source: The sclerotium and stroma of the Cordyceps sinensis of the Ergotaceae family. [Original morphology] The stroma is numerous or solitary, thin and hard, often tortuous, 20-30cm high and 1.5-2.3mm thick. The head is cylindrical or rod-shaped, brown to dark brown, with a sterile horn-like tip and a pseudoparenchyma cortex. The ascocarp is elliptical or ovate, (400-700)μm×(300-450)μm, dark brown, with raised surfaces, resembling the incarnation of Araceae. Ascus cylindrical, (260-480)μm×(8-12)μm. Ascospores are transparent or slightly yellow, linear, multi-septate, (160-350)μm×(2.5-3.5)μm. After the spores are released, they break into segments, each segment is (10-20) μm × 2.5-3.5) μm. 【Habitat distribution】Ecological environment: parasitic on Lepidoptera insects. [Properties] Identification of properties: This product consists of the insect body and the fruiting body growing out of its head. The body of the insect resembles a silkworm, 3-6cm long and 0.6-1cm in diameter. The mycelium membrane on the outside is brown, the insect skin is dark reddish brown, and the feet and spiracles are not obvious; the cross section is off-white with brown surrounding areas. The stroma is slender, solitary, 10-30cm long, 1-2mm in diameter, with a few upper branches, irregularly curved or twisted, yellow-brown or yellow-brown; the head is cylindrical or rod-shaped, with small dark brown spots visible on the surface (ascocarp protruding from the surface), and the sterile top is 3-5mm long. It is brittle, easy to break, and the cross section is white. Slightly fishy smell. Light taste. [Chemical composition] Liangshan Cordyceps contains mannitol, ergosterol, stearic acid, alkaloids and organic acids. The amino acids mainly include aspartic acid, threonine, serine, glutamic acid, glycine, alanine, cysteic acid, valine, methionine, isoleucine, leucine, tyrosine, phenylalanine, lysine, histidine, arginine and proline. [Pharmacological action] Intraperitoneal injection of Liangshan Cordyceps water extract has a synergistic effect on subthreshold hypnotic doses of sodium pentobarbital and can significantly prolong the sleep time of sodium pentobarbital. Intraperitoneal injection of 8g/kg of Liangshan Cordyceps water extract for 3 times, with an interval of 2 hours between each time, can significantly improve the mice's ability to tolerate hypoxia at normal pressure and prolong their survival time. Experiments on delayed-type hypersensitivity of the skin induced by 2,4-dinitrochlorobenzene and phagocytic function of mouse peritoneal macrophages showed that Liangshan Cordyceps can enhance the cellular immunity and nonspecific immunity of mice. It has a dilating effect on rabbit ear blood vessels and guinea pig bronchial smooth muscles. The above-mentioned pharmacological effects of Liangshan Cordyceps are basically similar to or slightly weaker than those of Cordyceps sinensis, and its toxicity is lower than that of Cordyceps sinensis. The Liangshan Cordyceps water extract was administered by gavage at the maximum volume and concentration of 100g/kg/day to 20 mice and observed for 7 days, and no abnormal reactions were observed. The median lethal dose of intraperitoneal injection is 24.26±0.03g/kg. The Liangshan Cordyceps was administered orally at 2g/kg, 4g/kg, and 8g/kg, and the rats were fed conventionally. The results of a 60-day long-term toxicity test showed that the blood cytology and blood biochemistry tests of the rats were within the normal range. The liver and kidney tissue pathology examinations showed no significant differences compared with the control group, and no other obvious toxic and side effects were observed. 【Nature and flavor】 sweet; neutral 【Meridian】 Kidney; Lung 【Functions and indications】Nourishes the lungs and kidneys. Mainly used for asthma and cough due to fatigue [Usage and Dosage] For oral use: decoct in water, 5-10g; or stew with chicken or duck. 【Discussions by various scholars】 1. "Sichuan General History": Cordyceps sinensis comes from Bolanggong Mountain in Litang. It is warm and nourishing in nature, and can replenish essence and benefit marrow. 【Excerpt】 Chinese Materia Medica Nowadays, people's life pressure is constantly increasing, which makes our bodies often in a state of fatigue. Liangshan Cordyceps, as a traditional Chinese medicine, has a certain regulating effect on the body. I hope it will be helpful to everyone. |
