[Original form] Dahuoxuedan, a perennial herb, up to 25cm tall, the whole plant is covered with long, curled, soft hairs. The creeping stems are attached to the ground, the stems are ascending, and are quadrangular. Leaves are opposite; leaf blades are cordate-reniform, 1-3.5cm long, 1.5-5cm wide, with nearly rounded or obtuse apex, cordate base, crenate margin, short stiff hairs above, and finely pubescent beneath; petiole is 1.5-2 times as long as leaf blade, with long soft hairs at nodes. The cyme has 2-4 flowers, with axillary soft hairs into glandular dots, 5 calyx teeth, 3 teeth of upper lip slightly longer, 2 teeth of lower lip shorter, apex awn-shaped, with ciliate margins; corolla pink or light blue soft hairs, upper lip deeply concave at first, lower lip 3-lobed, middle lobe nearly round, apex concave, margin wavy; 4 stamens, included, anthers 2-chambered; ovary 4-lobed, style glabrous. The stigma is 2-lobed; it is wavy and has a finger-like bulge in the front. The nutlets are oblong-ovate, about 2 mm long, and dark brown. The flowering period is April-May, and the fruiting period is May-June.
