【Original morphology】Plant height 20-45cm. The rhizome is short and erect, and together with the base of the petiole, is densely covered with dark brown, shiny, linear-lanceolate scales, with a long acuminate tip and entire margin. Leaves are clustered; petiole 7-15cm long, occasionally scaly on rachis and pinnae upwards; leaf blade herbaceous, light green, broadly lanceolate-ovate, 15-25cm long, 10-15cm wide, odd-pinnate; terminal pinna is the largest, solitary, halberd-shaped or 3-lobed, with long petiole; lateral pinnae are 4-8 pairs, obliquely upwards, 1.5-2cm apart, lanceolate, slightly sickle-shaped, 2-8cm long, 1-1.5cm wide, widest above base, gradually narrowing at apex, cuneate at base, slightly auricular on upper side of base, with sparse shallow serrations on margins; leaf veins fan-shaped and branched. Sori linear, 0.7-2 cm long, up to 3 cm long on terminal pinnae, densely packed; sori cap linear, membranous, light brown.
