[Original form] Cotton-haired Nepalese Tenuifolia is a perennial herb. The whole plant is densely covered with white cotton hairs, especially on the stems. The stem is erect, 50-100cm high and branched. Leaves are alternate; the lower leaves are spoon-shaped and oblong, 9-20cm long and 4-6cm wide, with the base cuneately contracted into a winged petiole with irregular serrations on the edges; the middle leaves gradually become smaller upwards, oblong or oblong-lanceolate. The head inflorescence is solitary at the top of the stem and branches, 12-20mm in diameter, and drooping; there are several linear-lanceolate bracts of equal length at the base, the involucre is disc-shaped, with 4 layers of bracts and sharp tips; the flowers are yellow, sometimes covered with sparse soft hairs, the outer female flowers are tubular, with 3-5 teeth, and the central bisexual flowers have 5 lobes. Achenes are strip-shaped, about 5mm long, with thin longitudinal stripes.
