Leaves are alternate; petiole is longer than or nearly equal to leaf blade, peltate; leaf blade is triangular or slightly rounded, length and width are nearly equal, 8-18cm, apex is obtuse or sometimes with short tip, base is nearly truncate or slightly rounded, margin is wavy and coarsely serrated or nearly entire, glabrous on both surfaces or slightly pubescent on veins below; palmate veins are usually 5 each upward and downward, raised below, reticulate veins are fine and thin papery. [Identification] Physical and chemical identification (1) Take 1g of crude powder of this product, add 10ml of ethanol, soak overnight and filter. The filtrate was evaporated to dryness, and the residue was dissolved in 4 ml of dilute hydrochloric acid and filtered. Take 1 ml of the filtrate and add 2 drops of improved potassium bismuth iodide test solution to produce a large amount of orange precipitate; take another 1 ml of the filtrate and add 2 drops of potassium mercuric iodide test solution to produce a large amount of yellow-white precipitate.
