[Source] Tripterygium hypoglaucum (Levl.) Hutch., a plant of the genus Tripterygium in the Celastraceae family, is used as medicine with its root bark or whole plant . It can be harvested throughout the year, washed and dried.

【Nature and flavor】 Bitter, astringent, warm. Very poisonous.

[Functions and indications] Dispel wind and dampness, promote blood circulation and relieve blood stasis, and strengthen tendons and bones. Used for rheumatoid arthritis, traumatic injuries, hemiplegia, lumbar muscle strain; used externally to treat fractures and traumatic bleeding.

[Usage and Dosage] 3 qian of root or 1 liang of whole herb, soak in 1 jin of wine, take 5 ml each time, twice a day.

【Note】 This product is highly toxic and should not be taken in large quantities. Pregnant women and the weak should avoid taking it.
