[Original morphology] Tibetan Pomelo is a dwarf perennial herb, 10-20cm tall. The roots are fleshy, thick, and powdery, 6-11mm. The leaves are basal, flat on the ground, and are pinnately compound leaves; the rachis is 3-4 cm long; the apical leaflets are ovate to round, 3-5 (-7) cm long and wide, with rounded or obtuse apex and cordate base; the lateral leaflets are 2-5 pairs, nearly sessile, ovate-elliptical, 1-2 cm long, about 1 cm wide, rough, with bubble-like protrusions, and blunt teeth. Flowers are solitary or 3-6 in number on shortened peduncles emerging from leaf axils; pedicels are 6-9mm long; calyx is bell-shaped, glabrous, 8-12mm long, about 4mm in diameter at the mouth, with 5 calyx teeth of varying sizes; corolla is slender, funnel-shaped, 4-5 (-7) cm long, 8mm in diameter in the middle, and the corolla tube is orange-yellow; stamens are 4, didyna; ovary is rod-shaped, 2-chambered, stigma is fan-shaped, and dehisces in 2 pieces. The capsule is nearly woody, curved or crescent-shaped, 3-4.5 cm long, with 4 edges, sharp tip, light brown, and split into 2 lobes. Seeds in 2 rows, oval, about 5mm long, 2.5mm wide, convex below, concave above, nearly black, with inconspicuous serrated surroundings and scales. The flowering period is from May to August, and the fruiting period is from August to October.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Grown in high sandy meadows and gravel mat thickets on hillsides.
