Failure to timely denture will cause

There are many factors that lead to missing teeth, and external impact is a very important factor. Complete teeth are very important. Even if you are not very adaptable when your teeth are just lost, the impact will gradually weaken over time. Many people think that the impact is not that big and there is no need to fill the teeth. In fact, failure to have dentures in time can lead to very serious consequences, and we must have a comprehensive understanding of this impact. Let’s take a closer look below.

From a clinical perspective, the harm caused by not repairing missing teeth in time is very great. Generally speaking, neatly arranged teeth support each other, and healthy teeth are fixed in their original positions, which plays an important role in good chewing function.

When a tooth has problems and falls out, or when the doctor pulls out a diseased tooth for you, a corresponding space will be left on the gums. If the space is not "occupied" for a long time, the adjacent teeth will lose balance and move or fall into the gap. Moved or tilted teeth can lead to adjacent teeth, causing a chain reaction and resulting in damage and dysfunction.

What problems can a dysfunctional bite cause?

1. Stuck in teeth . The movement and tilt of adjacent teeth can cause gaps between teeth, making it easy for food to get stuck in the gaps when chewing. If the cleaning is not timely or the cleaning method is not good, it will cause gingivitis, periodontitis, caries and other problems.

2. Damage to the occlusion : Changes in the occlusal relationship can cause periodontal problems, resulting in gingival atrophy or periodontal ligamentitis. Teeth that are too high can sometimes bite the gums on the opposite side, causing trauma.

3. Lack of resistance and elongation of the opposite teeth: For normal teeth, occlusion can resist the elongation of the teeth. If the vacant space is not filled in time after tooth loss, the opposite teeth will lack this antagonistic resistance, causing the tooth body to gradually lengthen, further aggravating the bite disorder.

4. Exposed tooth roots and tooth sensitivity: If missing teeth are not repaired in time, the gums and alveolar bones will gradually shrink, exposing the tooth roots. Sensitive symptoms are likely to occur when exposed to cold, hot, sour or sweet stimuli.

5. Insufficient chewing of food causes digestive system diseases: Teeth that have lost their original normal functions make it difficult to chew food into pieces. It increases the burden on the gastrointestinal tract, may cause digestive tract diseases or nutrient malabsorption, and is not conducive to physical health.

Sixth, "leakage", missing teeth affect appearance: long-term missing teeth can easily make a person's face look old. When there are many missing front teeth, "air leakage" symptoms will occur, causing pronunciation difficulties.

7. Difficulty in getting dentures : If you don’t get dentures for a long time after tooth loss, the alveolar bone at the tooth loss site will gradually shrink and become narrow due to the lack of chewing stimulation on the face, making it difficult to get dentures in the future. Even if you can barely get dentures in, their function will not be as good as those that were inserted on time after tooth extraction. A few people will lose the opportunity to get dentures.

8. It can easily lead to chewing pain, difficulty opening the mouth, and joint clicking: If a person loses a large number of back teeth and obviously destroys the normal bite and jaw relationship, it will have varying degrees of impact on the temporomandibular joint. The most direct symptom is that the patient experiences pain when chewing, difficulty opening the mouth, and joint clicking.
