Small lung tendon grass is the name of a Chinese medicinal material. It is the rhizome of the green plant Vermicelli slender-stalked of the Liliaceae family. It is also called lung tendon grass, small lung gold grass, earth superbus, a nest of maggots and tuberculosis grass. The slender-stalked vermicelli is mainly distributed in five regions, including Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Fujian, Hunan, and Guangdong. It grows in forest thickets, hillsides, and lawns. After drying the small lung grass, store it in a dry container and place it in a ventilated and dry place. So what are the effects and functions of lung grass?

The effects and efficacy of small lung grass

1. The main functions of small lung grass are clearing away heat and detoxifying, relieving cough and moistening the lungs, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, regulating menstruation and eliminating insects. It is used to treat cough, whooping cough, wheezing, lung abscess, mastitis, mumps, liver depression and kidney deficiency, lack of milk, parasitic abdominal pain and other conditions.

2. In clinical medicine, small lung grass can also be used to treat asthma, dysuria, bloody stool, fever, cold, and infantile malnutrition.

3. Small lung grass is effective in treating rashes, indigestion, hepatitis, hyperacidity and tuberculosis.

Therapeutic effect on chronic bronchitis in rats: After chronic bronchitis was induced by sulfur dioxide stimulation, 410 mg were taken orally daily. One treatment course was 10 days, and there were 2 treatment courses in total. The volume of the plasma glands and mucous gland alveoli in the medication group was smaller than that in the control group, and the goblet cells in both large and small bronchitis were less than that in the control group, and the decrease in small bronchitis was particularly significant.

How to use Pulmonaria officinalis

1. The roots of the small lung grass and wolf grass can be used as medicine. To treat long-term cough, they need to be decocted in water with deer mouth grass, toon bud flowers, five-pifeng, and Paifengteng, and taken together with pig heart and lungs.

2. To treat cough and vomiting blood, take 30g each of Pulmonaria officinalis and Imperata root, and decoct them in water.

3. For the treatment of whooping cough, use 30g each of Herba Microphyllae, Herba Cibotii and Herba Glehniae, decoct them in water and add sugar.
