Polygonum multiflorum is not suitable for iron knives and iron nests. Therefore, it is cut with a bamboo knife or a copper knife, and boiled in a tile pot for consumption.

Whether it is raw or cooked, Polygonum multiflorum needs to be boiled before consumption and cannot be eaten raw. If the dosage is too large, it will irritate the gastrointestinal tract and cause symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, intestinal rumbling, nausea, and vomiting. Effects of Polygonum multiflorum:

Detoxify, eliminate carbuncle, moisten the intestine and promote bowel movement. Used for scrofula, carbuncle, urticaria itching, dry intestine constipation and hyperlipidemia.

1. Osteoarthritis (pain in the waist and knees, itching all over the body, difficulty walking). Use one pound each of Polygonum multiflorum (the ones with patterns are the best) and Achyranthes bidentata, soak them in good wine for seven nights, take them out, dry them, mash them, add jujube meat and make them into balls as big as walnuts. Take 30 to 50 pills each time. Take on an empty stomach with wine.

2. Pain in the skin (not knowing where the pain is). Use Polygonum multiflorum powder and ginger juice to make a paste and apply it. After application, wrap it with cloth and iron the soles of shoes over fire.

3. Spontaneous sweating. Use Polygonum multiflorum powder, mix it with saliva, and seal it on the navel.

4. Intestinal wind and bleeding. Use 2 liang of He Dao Wu and grind it into powder. Take 2 qian each time, before meals, with rice soup.

5. Wounds and bleeding. Apply Polygonum multiflorum powder on the affected area and stop. With special effects.

6. For scrofula and tuberculosis (whether broken or not, it can cure any part down to the chest), wash the root of Polygonum multiflorum, chew it raw every day, and mash the leaves to apply to the affected area.

Polygonum multiflorum can be eaten raw, but for the sake of safety and health, you must not eat it raw, as this will affect its efficacy. When eating Polygonum multiflorum, you must ensure that your body is in normal condition, and you must eat Polygonum multiflorum reasonably during this period.
