The main manifestations of Qi deficiency are: shortness of breath, laziness to speak, general fatigue, low voice, shortness of breath when moving, easy sweating, dizziness and palpitations, sallow complexion, loss of appetite, false heat, spontaneous sweating, rectal prolapse, prolapse of the uterus, pale and fat tongue with teeth marks on the edges of the tongue, weak pulse, etc. These are due to decreased function, not necessarily illness. People with Qi deficiency need to replenish Qi. Medicines for replenishing Qi include ginseng, astragalus, codonopsis, etc.
