What are the effects of Chinese medicine Luobu Ma leaves

Luobu Ma leaf is a plant, also called tea flower or wild tea, and its petiole is slender. It is mainly distributed in Northeast, Northwest and North my country. It is generally used in traditional Chinese medicine, and its medical value is also very high. We know that it mainly has antihypertensive and cardiotonic effects. In fact, the effects of Luobu Ma leaf are far more than that. Now let us understand the effects of the traditional Chinese medicine Luobu Ma leaf through the following introduction.

1. Antihypertensive effect

Two hours after oral administration of the decoction of Lophatherum venetum leaves to dogs with renal hypertension, the blood pressure dropped from 194/142 mmHg to 152/100 mmHg and remained stable at a low level until it rebounded after three days.

2. Cardiotonic effect

The canadensis glycoside contained in the root of Lophatherum gracile can increase the contraction amplitude of the isolated and in situ cat hearts, slow down the heart rate, and then cause arrhythmia, and finally the heart stops beating in the contraction phase. The nature and speed of its action are similar to those of strophanthus glycoside. Central nervous system depressants such as sodium pentobarbital can weaken its cardiotonic effect. Experiments on in situ cat hearts using extracts from the roots of Lophatherum vulgare also showed a cardiac glycoside-like effect. Plants of the same genus (such as Apocynum cannabium) are less effective than digitalis in patients with atrial fibrillation and often cause nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea when used in doses sufficient to control heart rhythm disorders.

3. Effects on experimental heart disease

Canada glycosides have a therapeutic effect on experimental cardiovascular insufficiency in dogs, alleviate the symptoms of acute circulatory disorders in rabbit myocarditis, and prevent myocardial and coronary vascular sclerosis. This effect is better than that of strophanthus glycosides. It can restore the ECG changes of rabbits with atherosclerosis to normal, and its effect on the contraction of coronary arteries is particularly significant. It is also effective for atherosclerosis in rabbits with coronary circulatory insufficiency caused by vasopressin and thrombin, but the effect is weaker. Can increase cardiac glycogen resynthesis. However, it was ineffective for the hyperlipidemia of mice fed with a high-fat diet, indicating that Luobu Ma leaves have a reducing effect on the increase of endogenous blood lipids.

4. Anti-radiation damage

Oral administration of 2g/kg of Luobu Ma leaf extract and intraperitoneal injection of 0.5g/kg for 15-20 consecutive days can prolong the survival days of mice irradiated with 60Coγ-rays, increase the survival rate, and increase the number of white blood cells in the blood. Oral administration of 30mg/kg of quercetin also has the same effect. It is believed that the anti-radiation effect of Luobu Ma leaf is related to quercetin.

5. Effect on the spleen

Triacontanol has no significant effect on the growth of normal young mice; it has a weight-increasing effect on the spleen of mice, and intramuscular injection of 20 mg/kg is particularly significant; the effects on the thymus of mice are inconsistent, with a slight increase in weight in the thymus of adult mice and a slight decrease in weight in young mice; it has a significant antagonistic effect on the weight loss of the spleen and thymus caused by cyclophosphamide; and it has an enhancing effect on the phagocytic function of peritoneal macrophages in mice.

Through the above introduction, we now know the effects of the traditional Chinese medicine Luobu Ma Leaves. It is also an indispensable medicine in traditional Chinese medicine. Not only does it have the above-mentioned effects, but Luobu Ma Leaves also has diuretic, lipid-lowering, anti-aging effects, etc. Although such medicine has many effects, we must follow the doctor's instructions when using it.
