The recipe of "Gardenia and Fermented Soybean Soup" used in "Treatise on Febrile Diseases" contains two medicinal ingredients, gardenia and fermented black beans, both of which have the effects of clearing away heat, detoxifying and relieving restlessness. It is indeed an effective treatment for restlessness and irritability. Because Gardenia jasminoides can clear away heat, detoxify, relieve restlessness, and remove fire and toxins, it is used in "Coptis chinensis Detoxification Decoction" to clear away heat, remove dampness, and eliminate heat in the three burners, with an astonishing effect.
