Why do gas explosions happen so frequently? Please remember these facts

According to the People's Government of Beichen District, Tianjin, at about 7:15 on July 19, 2022, a gas explosion occurred in a resident's home in Building 3, Huanyanli, Tianmu Town, Beichen District, causing damage to the building. At present, 8 people were injured at the scene, most of them were scratches, none of them were in danger of life, and rescue is being organized with all efforts. The cause of the explosion is under investigation, and the aftermath resettlement work is proceeding in an orderly manner.

According to incomplete statistics, 722 gas accident news reports were reported in 2019, resulting in 63 deaths and 585 injuries. Among the 722 gas accident news reports, there were 463 indoor gas accident news reports, of which 458 had clear gas source media, and bottled liquefied petroleum gas accounted for 77.07%, which was the main medium causing indoor accidents.
