Among them, Zhengzhou may have high temperatures for the next seven days, and it will reach 40℃ on the 16th and 17th, which is the first time this year that the temperature has risen to 40℃.

Most areas north of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River will experience high temperatures, which will last for more than 8 days. The highest temperature in Henan will be 40℃+, and the intensity of high temperatures in parts of Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Henan and Shandong is rare during the same period.

In the next 6 days, Zhengzhou, Jinan, Xi'an, Taiyuan and Shijiazhuang will all be hot, and the heat will continue. Yinchuan, Hohhot and other places will also have more than 4 days of high temperatures, and sunny and hot weather will hit them in full swing.

Among them, Jinan's highest temperature on the 19th will reach 41°C, breaking the local highest temperature record in mid-June.

Hohhot will experience high temperatures for four consecutive days. The local high temperatures for four consecutive days in June only occurred once in 1951. The temperature will reach 37°C on the 17th, which is very rare for Hohhot in June.

Why is this round of high temperatures in the north so severe?

Min Yuqiu said that the north will be under the control of the continental high pressure ridge for a long time in the next few days, with clear skies, good lighting conditions, and rapid solar radiation warming. In addition, the warm air flow will strengthen northward, causing the temperature to continue to soar.

The good news is that according to the latest news from @中国天气, there may be moderate to heavy rain in Henan and Shandong from 23rd to 24th, which will be very helpful in alleviating meteorological drought. The maximum temperature will drop to around 30℃!
