Silver e-commerce refers to the e-commerce industry that conforms to the development needs of an aging society, takes the silver population as the target users, uses e-commerce platforms as carriers and channels, attracts upstream manufacturers and service providers, and links multiple resources such as hospitals, nursing homes, and communities. It provides or promotes the development, design, and manufacturing of richer and more diverse aging-friendly products and services to the silver population, as well as the entire e-commerce industry ecosystem for the elderly to participate in e-commerce economic activities.

E-commerce platforms are portraying new consumption portraits and creating new consumption scenarios based on the elderly population's needs in terms of food, clothing, housing, transportation and entertainment. Diversified business formats such as live streaming e-commerce for the elderly, rural e-commerce, cross-border e-commerce, life service e-commerce, and instant retail will burst with new vitality.
