The leaves are alternate, palmate-cordate, 6-14 cm long, 5-11 cm wide, gradually pointed at the apex, broadly cuneate at the base, with 4-5 shallow lobes on the margin, densely covered with white short soft hairs on the veins below, and 9-11 basal veins; the petiole is long. The flowers are small, unisexual, and dioecious; the male inflorescence is solitary or 2 to 3 are clustered in leaf axils, the male flowers are petiolate, often 2 to 3 flowers are gathered into small cymes, the flower stalks are 6-lobed, there are 6 stamens, 3 anthers are longitudinally arranged, and 3 are transversely arranged; the female inflorescence is spike-shaped, solitary or 2 to 3 are clustered in leaf axils, with 40 flowers or more, and the perianth has 6 ligulate petals. The capsule is obovate, shiny brown-yellow, with three wings, about 2.5 cm long, narrowly rounded at the base, and slightly concave in the middle. Seeds elliptical, with membranous wings.

[Habitat distribution] Growing on grass slopes, edges of shrub forests, and edges of ditches. Distributed in Yunnan, Sichuan, Guizhou and other places.
