【Original form】 Shrub, 1-3m high. Branchlets sparsely or densely covered with short procumbent hairs; buds ovate or narrowly ovate, 2-5mm long, scales triangular ovate. Leaves are opposite, with petioles 2-10mm long; leaf blades are narrowly ovate or elliptical, 5-15cm long, 2-8cm wide, with short acuminate or acute apex, shallowly cordate or rounded base, with small teeth on the margin, sparsely covered with short procumbent hairs on both sides; there are 3 basal veins. There are 2-4 spikes of inflorescence, growing in leaf axils; the inflorescence at the top of the branch is solitary in the leaf axils; the flowers are unisexual. Inflorescence cymes, dense, adjacent to each other; bracts ovate or elliptic, persistent. The male flower has 4 tepals, which are elliptic and connate to the middle; the female flower has a fusiform tepals, with 3 small teeth at the tip and covered with soft hairs on the outside. Achenes slightly fusiform, persistent tepals externally covered with short, rough hairs.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Grown in thickets or sparse forests on the sunny slopes of mountains at an altitude of about 1000m.
