【Original morphology】 Plant height 40-60cm. The rhizome is horizontal, and together with the swollen part of the petiole base, it is densely covered with reddish-brown, membranous and transparent lanceolate scales, with entire margin. Leaves are subspermous and in two rows; petiole is 15-40cm long, straw color, smooth and shiny upward; blade is herbaceous, sparsely pubescent or nearly smooth on both sides, rachis is smooth and hairless, ovate-triangular or ovate-pentagonal, nearly equal in length and width, acuminate, base cordate, three to four times pinnate-lobed; pinnae are 8-10 pairs, alternate, obliquely spreading, petiolate, broadly lanceolate, with the largest pair at the base, 15-25cm long, 8-12cm wide, two to three times pinnate-lobed; pinnules are 6-8 pairs, oblong, twice as long as wide, sessile, and pinnate-lobed; lobes are oblong, round-headed, with tiny crenates on the edges or nearly entire; venation is pinnate on lobes, lateral veins are simple or forked. The sporangium is round and borne dorsally on the lateral veins; the sporangium cover is large, round, grayish white, and covered with short hairs.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Grown in rock cracks on hillsides below 2300m above sea level.

【Nature and flavor】 Slightly bitter; cool

【Functions and indications】Reduce swelling and detoxify; remove blood stasis and stop bleeding. Mainly used for edema, sores, and bleeding from knife wounds
