[Source] Medicinal material source: The sap of the Broussonetia papyrifera plant of the Moraceae family.

【Original form】Deciduous shrub. The branches are significantly elongated and creeping, with latex. Simple leaves are alternate; petiole is 1-2cm long; leaf blade is ovate or ovate-elliptical, 3-13cm long, 2-5cm wide, apex acuminate, base cordate or nearly cordate, with 2-3 nipple-like glands, unlobed or 2-3 deeply lobed, green above, covered with procumbent hairs or nearly glabrous, light green below, covered with fine soft hairs, with fine serrations on the edge; 3 basal veins. Flowers are unisexual and monoecious; male inflorescence is a cylindrical catkin, 1-1.5 cm long; male flower perianth is 4-lobed; 4 stamens; female inflorescence is capitate, 4-6 mm in diameter; female flowers have short stalks or are nearly sessile, with 2-3 sharp teeth at the tip of the perianth tube; ovary is obovate, style is nearly lateral, and stigma is linear. The fruit is spherical, 0.7-1cm in diameter, fleshy, and red when ripe. The drupelets are oval and have warts on the surface. The flowering period is April-April, and the fruiting period is May-June.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Growing in hillside thickets, stream roadsides or secondary mixed forests at an altitude of 200-1700m.
