[Source] It is a plant of the genus Moghania in the Fabaceae family, Moghania philippinensis (Merr. et Rolfe) Li [M. prostrata (Roxb.) Wang et Tang], and its root is used as medicine. It is dug up in spring and autumn, washed, sliced, and dried, and can also be used fresh.

[Original form] Climbing semi-shrub, 1 to 2 meters high. The root is thick and conical, shaped like a rat's tail, and is not easy to pull out. The stem is branched and short-haired, quadrangular when young. Trifoliate leaves are alternate. In autumn, racemes emerge from the leaf axils, and the butterfly-shaped corolla is reddish-purple. The pod is rectangular, light yellow, about 8 mm long, and contains two black spherical seeds.
