Po Shi Zhu is a kind of Chinese medicinal material that is used relatively frequently in traditional Chinese medicine. Other names of broken stone beads: Tuluaner, Jiuniuzi, Jishengdan, Jiuziyang, Dilizi. It grows under sparse woods or in bushes, and sometimes in red soil next to rocks on the mountains. Distributed in Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou and other places.

Family: Leguminosae, genus, whole plant used as medicine

Nature, flavor and function: cool, bitter, spicy. Promotes qi and blood circulation, detoxifies and reduces swelling.

Indications: Diphtheria, tonsillitis, high fever convulsions in children, viral meningitis, hepatitis, dysentery, lymph tuberculosis, gastric carbuncle, choking disease, hernia, unknown swelling, lip carbuncle, snake bites, etc. Use two to five cents a day. For internal and external use. Clears heat and detoxifies. Treat acute and chronic tonsillitis, acute pharyngitis, stomatitis, mumps, mastitis, appendicitis, carbuncle, furuncle, acute and chronic enteritis, bacillary dysentery, stomachache, heat cough and aphonia.

Adverse reactions: Mainly toxic reactions, with clinical manifestations including upper abdominal discomfort, nausea and vomiting, dizziness and fatigue, watery stools, and in severe cases, profuse sweating, pale face, blue lips and nails, decreased blood pressure, sunken eyes, constricted pupils, chapped lips, cyanosis, cold limbs, and upper abdominal tenderness.

Adverse reaction mechanism: This product contains alkali and starch. Eating it raw or taking it in excess can cause poisoning.

Additional recipe:

1. Lymphatic tuberculosis: Take appropriate amount of broken stone beads, grind them into vinegar and apply.

2. Choking disease: grind the broken stone beads into powder, take 3 grams each time, and drink with boiled water.

3. Unknown swelling and pus: crush the stone beads and apply to the affected area.

4. Convulsions in children: 3 grams of Brocade Beads, 6 grams of Uncaria Rhynchophylla, 6 grams of Paris Polygoni Multiflori, decocted in water and taken orally.

5. Asthma: 15g of Brocade Beads, 3g of Fritillaria, 3g of Platycodon, decocted in water and taken orally.

6. Traumatic injuries: Grind the broken stone beads into powder and take it with yellow wine.

7. Snake bite: Soak broken stone beads in wine, take it orally and apply it to the wound.
