Leaves are opposite; petiole is about 6cm long, densely covered with long coarse hairs; leaf blade is papery or nearly membranous, broadly ovate, broadly elliptical or round, with acute apex, sometimes slightly concave, base cordate, about 10cm long, about 7cm wide, with inconspicuous fine and shallow wavy teeth and cilia on the edge, green on both sides or sometimes purple-red on the back, and on the back of the leaf, in addition to the flat long coarse hairs, there are also short prickles on the basal vein and lateral veins.
