[Original form] Broad-leaved kiwi vine, up to 8m long. The twigs are light reddish brown, with rusty hairs when young, and light white rectangular to lanceolate lenticels; the medullary septum is lamellar, light white, and hollow when old. Simple leaves are alternate; petioles are 2-8cm long, densely covered with light brown short hairs when young; leaf blades are hard and papery, broadly ovate, obovate, nearly rounded to oblong-ovate, 5.5-14cm long, 4-10cm wide, with acute to acuminate apex, base rounded to shallowly cordate, sometimes cuneate or truncate, margin sparsely bony serrulate, glabrous above, or only hairy along the midrib when young, with scattered or dense white or yellowish-white stellate hairs below, and 6-7 pairs of lateral veins. The cymes are axillary, 3-4 times branched, up to 11cm long, densely covered with rusty hairs; there are 5 sepals, ovate, densely covered with rusty hairs on the outside; there are 5 petals, light yellow-brown, oblong-obovate, slightly pubescent; there are many stamens, and the base of the anthers is not forked; the ovary is nearly spherical, densely covered with pubescent hairs, and the style is slender. The berries are spherical or ovate-oblong, 1.5-2cm long, glabrous when mature or only pubescent at the base, with spots. The flowering period is May-June, and the fruiting period is August-September.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Growing in mountain forests at an altitude of 300-1100m.
