[Source] It is the whole herb of Oxytropis oxytropis, a plant of the Leguminosae family. Collected in summer and autumn and sun-dried.

[Original form] Perennial herb, 7 to 12 cm tall, the whole plant is white. The leaflets are arranged in whorls of 3 to 4, linear, and 1 to 1.5 cm long. The inflorescence is capitulate; the flowers are 14-17 (13-18) mm long, lavender or purple-red; the calyx is as long as the petiole, hairy, and 6-9 mm long. The pods are enlarged, spherical or ovoid, 8 to 11 mm in diameter, and have brown hairs. Flowering period is July.

【Habitat distribution】Grows on sand dunes. Distributed in Jilin, Liaoning, Shaanxi and Inner Mongolia.

【Nature and flavor】Pungent, cold.

【Functions and indications】 Clears away heat and detoxifies. Treat sores, furuncles, carbuncles, mastitis, colds, scrofula, tuberculosis, acute and chronic eczema.

[Usage and Dosage] For oral use: decocted in water, 1-2 qian (0.5-1 liang for fresh product); or ground into powder. For external use: decoct in water for washing or grind into powder for application.

[Additional prescription] ① To treat sores, boils and carbuncles: one liang of fresh Bubble Grass. Decoction in water.
